California - Northern

There was a show in Red Bluff in (May?) this year. We did get a flyer from the show host, they hope to do it again next year.
There was? I never heard a thing! Maybe I am not traveling in the right circles. Of course, I may just have not been paying attention. My husband had an aortic dissection in May and had to be
life-flighted to Sutter Memorial Hospital. He was very lucky to have made it just in time to save his life. He was home by May, but was still having some complications and was up and down with his health. I doubt I would have been able to go in May since I was still off work taking care of him. He has recovered now and is back to work. So maybe next year. Is there a list or something to sign up for that would send out info on shows in CA?

The show is in Anderson March 30. Susan Smallbrook [email protected] is the contact

Anderson is a couple of hours from me and I am not good with driving long distances alone. Not sure I could talk my husband into driving me to a poultry show. I have been meaning to visit Shasta Caverns for ....oh...let's see.....about 26 years though. I might be able to work the two into one trip......

I know the feeling Audio. My DH is tolerant of the birds until the boys start crowing. I can't imagine him riding in the van for hours with them, especially the best quality cock we have. That boy never shuts up! At least his crow isn't as annoying as the Dutch we had.

Walt - when is the Stockton show? (I know it's in January but don't have the exact date)  And the Reno Show?

Have you been to the Ferndale show? I'm wondering if they have many birds in the sales ares. I know Stockton is the better show to go to but so far for us to travel during the winter.

Exactly! We do have a generator but it's not wired into the house. All the noise and having a window cracked open for the cord was really annoying last year.
We bought a generator in 2011. We keep it in a small shed near the back door. I bought a special outlet that lets me plug the generator in on the outside of the house and the power cords that we plug in the fridge/TV/computers/DSL to plug on the inside. That way I don't have to have any cords thru window or doors. The outlet is only powered when the generator is plug in and fired up.
