I have a little bit of a problem. the two eggs we have had in the little bator may end up hatching diff days and lock down starts the 8th on one and 11th on the other. will i still be able to turn one egg once the other goes into lock down?

Split the difference and don't worry about turning them. They will be fine.

Ready for a shock? Chickens will still hatch if you never turn them. Turning is based on a British study from the 50s that showed a better hatch rate with turning. Yours will be fine!

I can't wait to see pictures of them.

Split the difference? o.o?

ive always heard they will stick to the inner membrane if not turned

Wait a couple of days for lockdown and put them all in. Just keep the humidity up and try not to remove chicks when there are pips.

Some will stick. Turning is not necessary for the first week and the last week. The middle week is where it makes a difference.

Some will stick even with turning--If the chick does not develop correctly and absorb the yolk, The liquid becomes an amber goo.

Whoa! that's amazing!! Great info :)

so even with turning they still have the risk of sticking

Yes! It is a big problem with shipped eggs. There will some deformities if they are not turned during the second week too but not with all of them.

Things like curled toes but that happens even when you turn them too. The percentages are just lower.

Your hatch will be fine though!
