You're joking right?????????????????? LOL

Yes, activate it to clean between hatches, pens, etc. IDK but I would guess that it does not kill lice because that's a parasite.

If you use it indoors for cutting boards, you have to activate it to kill salmonella. Which means you would need to wear the mask to avoid breathing it. Might be ok for processing times but kind of a hassle for everyday cleaning of cutting boards & countertops. I keep a spray bottle of peroxide for that. You might test to make sure that peroxide would not discolor your black counters!

For your other questions, I don't know. Call the distributor and ask. 1-800-786-4751

Nice to know that I'm not the only female in America that doesn't paint her nails.

There are a lot of us. I am sure!!!!!!!!

Today was hatch day!  19 chicks hatched out of 23 eggs!  1 fully formed chick pipped, zipped 1/4 the way, and then died.  It looks to me like it drowned.  I have the last 3 that show no signs of pipping still in the incubator just in case.  It is technically 21 days at 11 tonight so maybe they will still hatch.  I have a group of Pita Pinta/Cream Legbar mix chicks (look just like Pita Pintas right now), some Langshans from the farm, a few Bresse, and 1 big, fat RIR chick!  Monet is in love with this big fat chick!  The last group of eggs that we hatched also had 1 RIR but it is definitely a boy.  If this one is a girl, we might have to keep it!

A scary thing happened in the middle of the hatch.  I was watching the chicks and noticed that they were panting.  I am obsessive about checking the temperature and humidity throughout the day.  But when I noticed the panting and looked at the read out, the temp was 102!  We pulled all the chicks out and put them in the bottom hatching tray of my cabinet hatcher.  Then I unplugged the incubator and plugged it back in.  It is back to holding the temp at 99.5-99.7.  I was worried that the 3 eggs with pips & partial zips would shrink wrap but all 3 hatched fine.  How scary!  Has anyone had that happen with their Genesis?  I'm going to clean it out in a couple days and let it run without eggs for a few days while I watch it.

Congratulations! :woot You`'ll have to posts pics of the RIR chick! They are even cuter when they are big fuzz balls! And of course I can`t offer any advice on the temp issue....I have incubator envy right now with everyone hatching! Although Aaron did tell me I can get more chicks! I have to hurry with the room remodel! :clap

Congratulations on your hatch Debi....I am trying one in the Suro Ray/Aaron fixed the fan on but Ray thinks there is a loose connection because it went off on the second day & Ray took the top off & put it back on & it was working again. I will wait awhile & candle which I NEVER do & see if they are alive. I put my darkest BCM eggs in there & some pretty AMs & some of the BO. I will think good thoughts & try again.
I ordered a new Hovabator with the temp;humidity. It is due on the 24th I will try again then. I keep giving my eggs away so I had better start collecting the good ones again.
Sandy long time no see.....................Hope you get to come to the Chicken Party on May 18th. I need to write to Dyann too. How is your craft room re do coming along?
Denny Thomas is coming this afternoon. I am excited to see her. It has been quite awhile. I hope she is spending the night. I need to check out the "guest room" Aaron was the last one that spent the night....LOL
I swear I am such a terrible typer. I spend more time correcting my mistakes than I do typing them. I guess I should have take clerical classes in school. It doesn't help that I sit my laptop on my lap & it is at about a 45 degree angle as I type.................LOL

Okay so i found an article on here about editing a tube sock as the same principle as the rooster collar. im not sure hpw well itll wprk but my dad has.t heard any crowing yet we will see in the morning. with our roos when i say "get rid of" it means kill him so im wanting that as a last resort.
do the hoods like falconers work on chickens? (Meaning would the principle work and i could make some)
Please share the link for the article! I made my own but I'm thinking about trying a different one.

I took a group of young Bresse cockerels out to the farm. My Pita Pinta cockerel Zoro is not crowing quite as much since they left. He is also now spending the night in the garage! He seems to crow more when one of us is in the backyard especially if it is my DH. It must be a male dominance thing! It is funny to watch my DH chase him around the yard trying to squirt him with a hose!
