Hopefully he willmake it through the night and be okay tomorrow.
im still trying to figure out what the goop in his eyes was

It could just be from him being dehydrated. The mucous membranes dry out and get irritates. The goop is the body trying to protect the eye from rubbing. It should go away when he gets back to normal...

Likely the dehydration. It should go away as he recovers.

They usually stop dying after the second day.

Out of 25 chicks shipped, I have had half of them be dead on arrival and the another 5 or so die over the next three days.

The cold really does a number on them.

yes I would probably wait till later in the spring myself. I have all sorts of issues in March last year with my Black penedesenca

2 of the 4 silkies are just wanting to sleep but ive been dipping their beaks in the water every now and then. the silkie with the braces is doing fine and the other 3 doms (along with all the others) are doing fine

Ron when do the Penedesenca hatch?

I hope some of them hatch! I removed two clears yesterday. It does look like two may be doing something. I plan on collecting more to set next Friday. I did see one of the hens squatting for him so hopefully they will be fertile next time.
