California - Northern

Just a heads up, Bradshaw Feed in the Sacramento area. Has over 10 varieties of chicks and they let you pick up your choice. They get a bunch more on Thurs.

I got chicks from her last spring, but haven't kept up with her since then...
Thanks!

I think she is the new president of the Araucana's group. ? I think I read that on FB. If that is true then perhaps she is very busy.

She is probable very busy the!
Her BYC profile shows she was online about 12 hours ago. Maybe PM her?
emailed, sent a PM, replied to a post on the Araucana thread.

That is enough for me since I am trying to see if she has eggs for someone on the Hatch a long thread.

I have done my due diligence and will soon report my failure to the Easter hatch thread.

We made the All Time Busiest thread at #10!

Now to out post the Silkie thread.....

We were kind of quiet most of the day yesterday....can't let that keep happening if we are going to take over the #1 spot!!!!!

Love how he says "lacks all pigment" when you can clearly see yellow legs and a very red comb/wattles. He also points out the red eys...whick you cannot see at all in the picture
Australorps have red around the eyes too. We call that skin though, not eye color....

I know! I was worried since there were only a couple of posts per hour sometimes. We may not make the one day top ten tomorrow but we are consistently high over time. There is also a lot of good information and support on here.

So 2 wks ago I had a (apx) 2 yr old MFL hen fall dead. She looked fine then "BLAM" dead. So I shipped her off. Tumors were the culprit according to UCDavis. Yesterday a 6 mo EOB pullet - beautiful ginger specimen, no known problems. BLAM. Dead. Shipping her off today. Kind of discouraged.

Between my Grandpa dying and all the ensuing (month long!!!!) company and then getting sick, I know the chickens havn't been getting the care they might need.

But usually the kids do a decent job and I walk around and remind them of the waterers they thought they could avoid filling.

Still a young beautiful bird, dead?

I ordered Oxine on Monday and I can't wait to scour everything, fog everyone, treat all the water, whatever it takes. I'm getting paranoid and turning into a chicken hypochondriac!

I noticed two of the top sights are gaming? At least here we are chicken (farm, family, poultry lifestyle) support and education!
