I think generally if you are going to wash it is usually done right before using with water or cleansing solution a little warmer than the egg. I just brush the loose stuff off when I collect them. If they are extra dirty I rinse before using Anything that is in them is generally going to be killed by the cooking process anyway, unless you like them on the soft/runny side. I scramble my eggs and prefer the cooked firmer anyway. My husband likes his "over medium with the yolks broken just before they go on the plate".

Whoo....hoo............. I just realized I do no how to insert picture...I swear I stumbled a crossed it purely accidently. Now if I could just remember who it was that I was going to show my peach bin grow out pens to...............

I would probably have to get them from the seller first and then meet you at the show with them. She was thinking of showing some, but the entry due date was the 15th. I emailed the show secretary and she said to have her call and mail the entry forms the next say, but not sure if she did. If not she may not be going to the show.

Look on craigslist they occasionally show up. I put a piece of linolium on the bottom of mine for easy cleaning. Pick up linoluim hoze profit. I just clean the shavings leaves and dirt in between.

I've actually been putting my chicks outdoors at roughly four weeks, and they've been doing just fine -- particularly now that temps are more mild. wish i could put them out a week earlier, as i've only got one brooder and it's going to be a bit crowded for a week coming up soon! as there will be new hatchlings to add next tuesday (i hope) but the biggest chicks will still only be three weeks...
