well... I throw mine in with chicken eggs at about 55% but it drops to 18% by the end of the next day and I put more water in. Then it shoots back up. But I check the water trays i don;t get it. After the chicks are out I go up to 65% for the ducks and they seem to do fine.
Yet those numbers seem rediculous. I followed the bator instructions.
I'm just getting ready to do some serious downsizing and could put together a nice little mixed (or one breed) flock for you. I'm in the Placerville area.
And for those of you that know me well....................yes, there are 24 eggs due to hatch next week (DH set those while I was gone) and more importantly........................................
EGGS WERE PUT IN THE MAIL TO ME THIS MORNING, LOL![]()

Ew yucky stuff.Regarding the use of wormers during breeding season... I have seen a couple of references in books about *not* using fenbendazole (Safeguard) during breeding or molting. Both have references to Marshall, 1993. I also looked at some of the other wormers that we use in poultry (albendazole, piperazine, ivermectin, praziquantil, pyrantal pamoate), but none of those had warnings about using during breeding or molt.
This is one:

Quote: I tried DE and didn't have any luck with it on worms, lice or mites.
As far as wormers go, fenbendazole is the safest of the bunch... You should see some of the warning on the others, those are scary, lol.
