I would love to have the groups' opinion of what you think are the best blue egg layers.
I have been wanting to add one to my flock and in searching around in the internet it's so hard to get a good picture of them.
I thought I'd get "real life" experience from anyone who would like to chime in.
I have a Cream Legbar hen & her eggs are closer to pale green-blue - same with my rumpless Araucana.
Is there a breed that lays a true blue egg with no green tint?

Jason showed me some silver Ameraucana eggs that were very blue.

Welcome! I'm in Madera too. What kind of birds do you have?

Hey!! Madera is a small town, we just may know each other! LOL well I have 20 birds.. 7 RIR's, and the rest I could use some help with with...When I went to Evans the first time I just snatched up all the ones they had and can't remember what kind they told me they were... Then I sent my mom with my son to pickup some more and they can't remember what kind they are

My blue project s are blue. But my ee were blue and my cl were blue im lucky

I went to Chowchilla HS (84 so mine was quite a while ago :). I have a lot of different breeds, some I'm breeding & showing and some just because. I'd have a hard time picking a favorite breed. My favorite bird though is a tiny little Serama hen who thinks she the size of an elephant. She rules the ranch :)

If you post photos of your birds I'm sure we can all help you figure out what they are. This is the best thread on this site with helpful & knowledgeable peeps.
