it costs a bit more than that. But I wanted more time and money on the other one that did not work. You plug it in. Double check the temp once it reaches the required level. And put water in the trough every other day. If you don;t have a turner you can turn by hand in the AM and then again in the PM and they seem to do fine. But it is a lot of work. I don;t know what you have, but if you can invest in getting better that may be your first step. Or do what I did. I borrowed one from a friend at first, then when you sell the chicks you can save the money towards growth. Hope you feel better soon
l wish I could keep bees, maybe some day... There is a big apiary right down the road and we do get a lot of visiting bees
