Here is a better (and less giant) picture of the egg. Do you guys think it could be a pure Ameraucana, or is the color off?
You can still run into greens with them. They are called EEs unless they are an acceptable type according to the APA--like Wheaten Ameraucana.

Green indicates that there is some brown in the genes.

I hope I explained that correctly. Egg color does not indicate weather a Hen is an Ameraucana or an EE. It is the type and breeder that counts. Ideally they would lay pretty blue eggs though.

I would venture to say that if the breeder doesn't spell Ameraucana correctly, they are probably EE's.
I was thinking that too.

I love EEs and they are very easy to hatch--Great for a first time.

I have both smooth and frizzled seramas. They are laying in between being broody, but if you need a frizzle rooster..............I have several.
Aww, thank you. Sweet of you to offer. Those roos crack me up. But - I have a hubby that works rotating 12-hr shifts so "no go for crow". :(
Maybe one of these days I might have the guts to try one of the rooster neck wraps.

Maybe I could get a dozen serama eggs from you when I get tolbunt chicks? Did you get my PM?

@PetRock

Do you plan on showing your HRIR boy? It would be nice to see how he scored.

Post pictures when you can!
I was just at the farm and didn't take any pics. I'll try to get some on Friday. I hadn't thought about showing him. Hmmmm.....have to think about that!
