California - Northern

I'm in Glenn County- very tiny. Near Chico.
I have a bunch of eggs ready for hatching. Partridge Penedesenca and Second Generation OEs(Crele Penedesenca x Cream Legbar crossed back to Crele Penedesenca).

I'd like some Penedesenca eventually, and I'll bet the OE with Crele genes are really attractive birds. How much are they? I'm doing Relay for Life in Yuba City in a few weeks, maybe we could arrange a meeting?

Red Bluff and Redding aren't that far, but I'm 4 hours from everywhere.
I've got a trip to Redding in late July, so I'm thinking I might be able to get some Papa's Poultry eggs then (fingers crossed his Cuckoo Silkies don't peter out on laying in the heat, or at least lay enough for a half cuckoo half black order).

Send a PM. Too bad you can't get these.

They will be going into the Eating egg rotation tomorrow.

The OEs are very fertile. The Partridge Penes do well for Penes. I just hatched out 5. One pipped and did not hatch. The Five are living with a Broody Mama now. I will get a video and or pictures when they start going out of the pet carrier.

Oh, bummer. I appreciate the offer, though, and I'll keep an eye out for the video.

I'm so proud of myself! I have given all but two of my chickens shots two days in a row now. I didn't know if I'd be able to do it because I'm super wimpy about this kind of stuff(one reason I could never be a nurse like my mom!) but I feel like a pro giving my hens shots :)

Guess who has an incubator humming away in her back room?!

Now...

Rio Linda feed store has ducks, a variety of chickens and turkeys. They have great prices and a very friendly, helpful staff for first time chicken owners... I'm in Sacramento, ca. I think of us as Northern California. We also have a city across the river called West Sac.

Oh, man... I NEED some eggs now! Lol... gonna test it over the weekend before I think about giving in, though.
LOL its SOOO hard to wait.

Great job BCollie. It's amazing what we will do for our animals, not like they could do it for themselves.

I am just really glad they don't struggle or act like they're in pain when I'm giving them the shots. I know it hurts them but they don't even flinch, which makes it a LOT easier. Just a few seconds each day and they're done. Today was their second day so they have 3 more days of Tylan injections then they're done.

Does anyone know what the egg withdrawal period is for Tylan injections?
