If I want pics of my chicks (and I do!), I'm going to have to make some kind of special photo box. They just won't stand still long enough other wise, and fear them falling off the table.

We generally just had them sitting on the floor and got down to their level. I'm not a good photographer, so most of my pictures are cruddy ones of my hands holding them still. I get some okay ones by taking a cloth 'backdrop' and making a loose nest to get them settled down and kept contained. If I want pics of my chicks (and I do!), I'm going to have to make some kind of special photo box. Anyone here raise meat birds(Cornish Cross) during the winter? Would it be too cold here in Nor Cal to raise them during the winter? I definitely do NOT want to keep them in a brooder in the garage for longer than people normally do.
