Mixing breeds can bring out a lot of odd genetics and colors. Not sure about the color but all of the Cochin cross I've hatched have well feathered feet; even those crossed with clean legged birds.
Marans have feathered feet, so all chicks have feathered feet, which is visible in most photos.. Right number of toes--not a Silkie, Dorking or Favorelle cross!
After looking at the chicken genetic calculator further tonight, it looks like the CCL underneath the mama (50%) may be the underlying genetic culprit on Chipmunk chick! At least it is probable that "it" is a "she" due to the auto-sexing of the CCL! And they are all darling, with none the cucaracha size of the Bantam Cochin group that I hatched out last September. All full sized chicks!
