I have a non-fruiting pear tree. Can I graft fruit trees onto it? That would make it soooo much better!

ETA: it appears I can! Now I just have to research getting apple and pear scions.

Well I thought my hatch was a bust no pips all of day 21 but early Day 22 (overnight) one of the Delaware eggs pipped and is now chirping in the egg. Could be the bator temp was low periodically so slower hatch. Im hoping this one makes it out and more start to pip. (Daughter is reporting to me whats happening) Cant wait to get home and see it. Even if we only get 1 out of an original 48 it will be neat to have hatched an egg.

Yes you can, but you would want to do the grafting just before the tree comes out of dormancy. Kern

Think they were about 3or so months when you got them. I'd expect the serema to be clearly boy by now. Sizzle you never know with silkies.

Are the ducks doing well? All my girls hatched there clutches. Despite crappy hatch rates its duck city here now!

Dare I say it "the muscovy rival our chickens" they love my fermented grain with brewers . They are still on a small ration of crumble but are now preferring the ff And are kind picky about the greens from the table. They fell into our herding them to bed routine so well that they are usually in there when we come to shut their run door.

Here is a purple leaf plum tree in my neighbor's yard that I grafted a Golden Nectar plum onto a couple of years ago. Golden Nectar is a wonderful plum. I think it looks cool with the dark purple parent leaves in the background. Kern

Well, I've got 2 additional broody hens.

1 OEGB and 1 Silkie. And to top it off, I already have a Silkie hen raising 7 silkie chicks.

I'm gonna need to start collecting a few eggs.

Guess I got lucky......my then 4-year-old granddaughter names only 2. One is Stubby (the one with a missing foot) and another is Pearl.

Fingers crossed for more Chicks, Chris!
