Ooh sounds like a nice project =) have you decided which breed will be getting downsized yet? I don't have either of those breed/colors.. are the jubilee Orpingtons?
I am also redoing our bathroom, the ands add up faster then I can get the guys helping to put in what I've all ready got lined up ;) tile, sink, faucets, new paneling, cabinets lighting medicine cabinet, a soakertub shower combo etc =)

Hey!
Just dropping by to say hi admid the chaos. We decided to pull out the bathroom vanities and tile under them while we were doing stuff and touch up paint and redo (painting or replacing depending on the type closet sliding doors are all non conforming.) the doors and redo the plugs and replace the toilets..... And....and... I keep finding ands!

We might end up having to downsize a breed since we are loosing a coop once we have to start getting ready to turn the workshop area to a apartment for my dad. If anyone is looking to get into serious breeding on jubilees or breese let me know. I have not decided but if we had a serious home I'd likely lean in that direction.

I'm hoping to be back to normal chaos by next month and not quite this level of madness.

No joking you two! My husband is a general contractor and we ALWAYS hold our breath when giving a remodel estamate. Emphasis is placed on " IF you keep to this scope of work " and "pending any unforseen damage discovered"

All the extras add up so quickly it can be a horror on the pocketbooks .

I wish you a quickly completed project. I LOVE all the babies we have brought home from you. I look forward to hearing what is available next.

It will likely be one of those 2 breeds. The eggs look very similar and its gotten me into trouble this year lol.

It really all depends on how busy I get when the job changes are finalized and we start on joes projects.
@Flowers of AbbaI had to move everything from that section of the house and I never want to do that again ha!

Its logical to do it before everything moves back but its so crazy! Trying to get all the pieces in order so the dominos all fall in the right pattern. I just found a tiny mold spot earlier so now I'm oxining before we put down cement Bord...

@TheKeeper was just at my place picking up some chicks. It is always good to visit with other chicken addicted folks!

I will get some pictures of the Pita Pinta and the Arkansas blue x Partridge penedesenca boy that hatched with them. He was a big hit with everyone.

At the same time, the family that is going to pick up the older Pita Pintas was here visiting with them. They may be able to get them next week.

And the neighbor brought over his niece to see the chicks. It was quite an evening! Maybe I should start a petting zoo....

@ronott1 Those little ones hopped right into the nest box with the other 15 chicks and made themselves promptly at home. So adorable.

Wow only ten more days on the bantam eggs I set from Sewandgrow party =) time sure flies when you get to use an automatic turner =)
I think I've only got one Turkey egg developing tho =( and I can't see into all the gorgeous colorful eggs I picked up so I'm just gonna be patient. I've got too many clears in Sumatra eggs but I'm leaving them in just in case =)
This place will really be peeping next month lol

I know, right? I have to set reminders in my phone's calendar so I don't forget to take my Brinsea off the cradle before I have peepers rolling around in there. :)
p
So many reminders I had to color code them lol grey in the cabinet. Teal in my friends bator, blue in lockdown in hatcher and red for don't set dates cause I won t be home for hatching, and yellow for special hacthalong set dates lol, my poor calendar.

Is there any one who can have breeders interested in mille fleur Old English Game Bantams? @Chooklet ?
Cali is a super nice gal in Grass Valley with sweet, healthy birds. Her ad is on Facebook in the NorCal Rare Breed Poultry Group but I'd be willing to play middle-man too.

Mille fleur Old English Game bantams- very rare variety!
$65 — Grass Valley
I shipped this quad (1 male/3 females) of OEGB in from top breeder J.T. Mainor in Georgia. Unfortunately, my life got turned upside down, and i have to sell out of my show bantams. These were hatched last spring. They lay pretty well and have been wormed, etc. All birds are show quality and have won in shows (not the cock bird, as I never dubbed him). I honestly don't know of ANYONE else on the west coast, besides a 4-H kid I sold a pair to, who owns mille fleur of this quality. I would like these birds to go as a whole breeding group for $200 firm. This is a serious project. But, I will agree to sell single birds for $65 each firm. In the photos, the first picture of the cock is the one I have available. The other (right side of another picture) has been sold.
I began a new project variety with them, fawn mille fleur. I managed to get a nice F1 cockerel chick (he is about 6 weeks old now), who should produce 50% fawn mille fleur chicks over a millie hen. If you buy ALL 4 as a breeding group, I will give you him for $10. Otherwise, I'd like $20 for him. Last blurry photo is of him. It is hard to see, but he does show mottling on most feathers, so he has that gene.
Serious inquiries only. My prices are fair and firm. Thank you for reading!

Wow.....where did everyone go?
