i use the nipple waterers too. i got two from premier1 poultry supplies. i attach them to the wall. i started mine on them after about a week. then i take the other waterer away at about 2 weeks. i tap their beaks at the waterer, i show them how it drops down when i tap it etc and i don't remove the other water until i have seen them use the nipples. on hot days i always have regular waterers in a place or two for the flock as well as 4 nipple buckets. those ones at premier1 are the BEST i have seen. bucket nipple waterers. the lids fit snuggly NO dirt gets in and i fill it 3/4 full every 3-4 days...just to put fresh water in. there is never algae forming or anything! AND the nipples are recessed so you can put them down while filling and they don't get dirty or clogged. it has been the biggest time saver ever! and i am a nut over clean water....

Thanks so much for help. Here are my chics

Good to know! I ordered my chick nipple waterers from premier poultry as well.

Moved the littles outside

The wellies and 1 delaware are 4 and a half weeks old the other dels are 10 days younger

They were getting crowded in the plastic tote in the garage and Im going to need it for new hatchlings soon

Now they have the 6 foot long brooder to run around in. Still need to make a new top for it before they can jump out.

I definitely have some boys among the dels.

Cute chicks!

I haven't posted in forever but with new chicks this year I've back on the site. These EE girls are 4 weeks old and first time out of the cage exploring.

These littles also LOVE baby kale even more than mealworms. I have a video I'll try posting. Does anyone have a favorite trick for holding greens?

Chicks being checked out by the Wheaties. It was a little cold in the shade, so put the light out too.

I love the rabbit cages for chicks because I can use the top to let them be outside part of the day. Also I can put perches in the bars.
