My roosters started *singing* at 4 am this morning. Usually, I barely notice them crowing, but all 7 of them were going at it for about an hour. Good thing I'm zoned Ag!

This is my son when our roos wake him up!)

I used to bring my two boys in at 6:30 every morning (I'm not zoned AG).....until we had the full moon last week............My silkie, Leo Pierre, started crowing at 4:20 am.

He must have thought it was time to get up. Needless to say, I put them in the garage at night now. Looking at the bright side - I don't have to run outside in my PJs as early to shush the roosters any more.

What do you guys use for a broody den? For those of you that let your hens hatch? A small dog house (like a dogloo or something?) set up inside the coop? I want to be ahead of the game since I know Orps are a broody breed.

Cream Legbar. The bluest are Aracauna. Cashes blue eggs and Shannon in Vacaville has them too.

I just got one of the Dog Igloo to use. They are insulated Im going to try it out. I have a Broody Coop as well.
It seem to ALWAYS be full
