California - Northern

She left me an egg and she was still stinking in there. Bit like crazy when I took her egg and then bit me more when I dragged her broody butt outside. What did she do? Stood there immobile. What the heck? I walked off and she went back to her box.

I'm picking up a dogloo and some TJ eggs because I can get my hands on them real fast.
Papa rooster- can I get some EE eggs from you this weekend if I can't get her to leave her box?

If you cant find egg...., yours should be fertile. Put a few under her and see what happens ;) Very exciting!

when Rocky was young he crowed a few times. He had stopped around the time of his attack. I am happy to say this morning he was crowing away. his Rooster buddy " Big Al " the white Emp was crowing for the first time as well in his pen...

I am gonna try it. should I use splash , blue or black hens with my white rooster?
I should look at the calculator but can not figure it out. White Empordanesa are dominant white I believe.
Check the Calculator and let me know. Im hoping to have chicks soon...

She finally left her box. But I have my eye on her. She spent like 6 hours in there!

Pet- hope your chickens get better soon!

Does any one know of a heritage breeder in northern California? Or a reputable one that ships?

thanks!!
Hi Amy,

Are you looking for eggs, chicks or started birds? Are these for pets or do you plan on breeding? Are you looking for sexed birds or straight-run. There are lots of great breeders on this board and if you tell us a little more about what you are looking to get, I am sure someone can help you out.

That reminds me of something that happened this am that made me LMAO. I have a bunch of 11 week old juvies in the pen and a swede juvie rooster let out a pathetic crow and and everyone retreated back into the coop. The roo just stood there dumfounded. I'm sure he was thinking Whaaaaaaatttt?
