Thank you for posting this, Molly! I stayed up until after 12 PST and placed an order. I had my cart filled but narrowed it down to Ultra Kibble, a couple of new balls for my dog, and a bottle of VetRx. I'm trying so hard to be good!

I stayed up and placed a order too.. My cart just kept getting bigger.. I have no will power.

LOL!!! I was very proud of myself for narrowing it down a bit. I wanted that free shipping but didn't want to spend over $60 to get it. Plus, I had just placed an $80 order with Peaceful Valley / groworganic.com. Most of that order was for my chickens, too.

A week long cooking/eating/drinking adventure here in Cabo. We visited a ranch here in Cabo and of course were drawn to the chicken pen. We noticed that one of the chicks was on the outside of the pen, away from its momma. So Larry chased after the chick all the while momma hen is attacking Larry through the fencing! He finally catches the chick and returns it to it's momma! WHEW!

We have also started to meet many people working with the community becoming sustainable using permaculture methods and wanting to raise chickens (but don’t know how to go about it!) On our way to our dream....

Also met many restaurant owners at the ranch party that are more than excited about me raising a form the Bresse here! I’m hoping to be able to use the Cabo Bresse to subsidize the cost of water and land for community projects!

Thanks Debi for all the "bresse" info it's really come in handy in speaking to chefs and farmers.

Every morning is still like Christmas. I get so excited when the kids bring in the eggs! 8 from the ducks today and 2 from the chickens so far. The chicken eggs are slightly bigger than they have been so these must be from my older pullets.

Question about DE. Do you guys put it IN the chickens food? I read people do that. So IN the food and IN the bedding?

I mix DE with Wheat, Ultra Kibble, Sea Weed and omega booster. I add the DE for the extra Calcium. DE does not work when it is wet, so it will not kill parasite but it is great for adding calcium.

I have not had soft shells yet this year.
