You're welcome! It's a great company! I used an assortment of colors when we had a backyard carnival. Really cool, but the clear ones are really thick and strong, but still let light in for the chickens

OMG I am LMAO over Clyde! That is hilarious! Seriously I had no idea he had issues when we gave him to you he was just a little too noisy for our neighbors back then (not as loud as Napoleon though). But hey there's nothing wrong with a guy showing some extra maternal instincts! Give the poor boy a break. Give him some fertile eggs and see if he sticks with it!

Anybody else notice that BYC is a slippery slope? You start with an innocent thread check and now I've got to go check out these links you all are posting. I know that will probably lead to the more hard-core stuff but I can't seem to help myself!

You met Lennard, Oriana's boyfriend. I love him. The were in the 4th grade together and every few years they'd run into eachother. One of her best friends from back then was in town from LA and they got together with him and another guy they all went to school with and Lennard is so straight laced, him and Oriana just fit. He was the cutiest little boy. And short! LOL Still love the ex husband, but they clash. Vanessa just doesn't like nice guys, so there ya have it. She's had nice ones before, but they last an even shorter time. Oh well.

I'd give Clyde eggs, but I'd have to torder them and don't want to take a chance. I think he's having an identity crisis. There's a blue AM roo and a blue OE roo (Lil Jovi) that give him a hard time lately. They caught him trying to mount one of the OE pullets and I had to chase them away from him. They're huge birds compared to him. Ever since he stays away from the main flock and just hangs out. He used to bully them until they got bigger than him. I was so sick that another bird was missing, he can sit on eggs forever, just as long as he's OK.

So I grabbed a PVC and hooped it to see how big it would be. Yeah I'm going to have to try gluing again. I want something I can walk into. I figure with 2 or 3 I can separate hens from roos and have one for the rabbits and quail. That way I can keep buckets of food in each one and maybe a bail of hay and I'll have everything available close by and not have to drag things around. So when I have transportation again, it's back to Home Depot.

Yeah, he's a sweetheart. Did you see his daughter....?????? Laneese?? She's 4 and taller than Makayla. Gonna be a tall girl.

Maybe we can make a few meetup times for those who are there early and the ones (probably me) that show up later. Actually if I really do show something I'm think I might get us a room. Last year a bunch of us met for lunch at the show, but maybe if we can do it, we can pot luck or something.


I found away to deal with being sick. I broke open a bottle of my Kahlua. I managed to hold on to 2 I think. Was hoping someone would let me know how it turned out, so I'd know if I should change something next time.

Yea his daughter was adorable!!! She was sooo cute the way she spoke up when you didn't introduce her immediately! "Don't forget me!" she said with her bottom lip stuck out, "I'm Laneese". She seemed shy and pleased at the same time when I shook her hand. I got the feeling she is rarely shy though.

I thought that was so precious!

Steve and I are planning to get a room as well. Would be cool if other BYCers are planning to too. Any ideas on where a good place to stay would be? Drove through there the other day and a lot of what used to be really nice is lookin kinda seedy.

I'm going to have to look too. Not sure what's there. If I can get my car fixed I need to head there right after. They have a Jaguar Heaven wreaking yard! I need some things. hehe Not until I know I've got the repairs covered first though. Cosmetic can wait.

Just walked out back to smoke and Clyde was asleep on the back step. I don't know about that bird. I started to walk towards the back of the yard and he ran ahead of my and into the smoker. So much for pulling those eggs. Then again, I know they're pretty old, so I'd hate to pull them and have them explode. Been there done that. I swear the smell is equal to skunk.
