Call duck eggs.

Quote:
Day one starts the day after you set them(especially that late). Go ahead and raise the humidity to 73% as quickly as you can.
Good luck!

I would wait NO LATER than day 26(and that would be hard for me).
I will usually pip the shell and if they have pipped internally, I'll leave them for several hours to see if any progress is made.
If you need help, PM me, I'll do what I can! I LOVE Calls-they're my passion.

OK I better go straight home after work and pip them because it is day 27. I hope they are still ok. Be home in 2 hours!

HELP!! ok i am home and open a small end of each egg. Only saw 2 moving. i dampened a q tip and moistened the membrain but it looks like the two are really stuggling to get out what do I do next. this is day 27

Large end is where the air sack is, you should candle before doing anything to see where the duckling is, then open a small hole in the large end. This is hard to recommend anyone doing since it is risky.

I did candle to make sure where the air sack is I meant a small opening at the end of the egg (the large end). Any help you can offer me please.

peel back a bit of the membrane if it bleeds stop leave it for a few hours then try again go to sundown silkies page and follow her instructions I have hatched 27 call ducklings and i followed her instructions

I am following sundown silkies directions but the yolk is not getting absorbed and I can't tell if they are distressed. They apart to be gasping for air. is That normal? What signs do I look for and what about the yolk not going away? It is now day 28 and has ben 14 hours since breaking the membrane? Help.
