Call Ducks Finally Hatched

They are alright with other breeds as chicks. I've heard that coturnix will kill them but haven't tested it. If your chickens are ok with other birds then they will be ok with the buttons. The concern is that other birds will kill them because of how small they are.

Thu are spastic, fly up and hit Their heads constantly. Since they have been in the big coop they have really called down.

Let me know if they Are still laying I'll send you some. I don't feel comfortable charging for them though since they are so fragile.

Wow apparently my autocorrect was cracked out.

They are spastic. Since I've moved them into a large pen they have calmed down. I think it's because they have somewhere to run to so they don't feel a need to fly to get away.

So there's two of the bob whites that can't get their feet under them. They are laying on their sides kicking their feet out. Let nature takes its course or is there something I can do for them? It's not splayed leg so I can't tape them together.....

How old and when did this start?? Give them some vitamin b complete, vitamin b is a good source for any leg problem.. Make them a baby bouncer, that's what I had to do for one of my Cochins he kept dragging his foot, made him a baby bouncer and with in 24 hours he was using his leg..

They just hatched so never really had their feet under them so to speak.

You probably already know about curly toes and chick boots. I had a chicken that couldn't stand, I put in loose grass hay so it's feet sunk in a little. It could stand and walk with the extra support. By the next day it was fine.

I turned the heat back up within an hour of putting it lower. Still no pips internal or external. I thought I heard tapping noises, had to have been something else. I saw 5 eggs moving inside. One seems to be quiet still. Since I am not sure (hard to see in at this point) I will just wait until tomorrow and see what is says then. It will be day 26, hatch day. I will be so happy if they hatch with no health problems or heart breaks. I guess I am a little scared after the last time, but I learned from it if nothing else. I will talk (message?) to you tomorrow.

Thank-you Lori, and to everyone for all your help and moral support!

Fingers crossed that all goes well for you and the babies!!

So clousert I have to ask why didn't you tell me that I'm a total dumbie?! Lol.

I just did the math on the fencing requirements and I feel so completely retarded. My only idea is that I was thinking about it on a day I didn't have coffee. Lol.
