That was one of my orps. I think maybe she runs the incubator a little cooler than mine. I think those chicks hatched on day 22/23 Mine always hatch on day 20-21. Maybe I run too hot for ducks?

We should keep this conversation going for like Five pages long so when she decides to get on, she'll be spending HOURS just trying to play catch up. LOL

That will teach her...

The only Time Ive heard of issues like that is if a rooster injuried it, or the shell was dried to it and instead of wetting it to get it off, they just yanked it off.. GRRR..

That was one from your COOP?  Omg, what the heck happened with him?  Is it still alive?

I think so. I've hatched hundreds of my own and never got anything like that. I also don't help them out either, so who knows. I usually break open the egg after and see why they didin't hatch though. I've never seen anything like that before. Se will need to get him a wig.

LMAO, OMG a wig, haha haha That's a good one. LOL...or maybe some of that hair on spray. lol... well with calls sometimes they do need that help, so you best better prepare if these two last ones make it to the end..

Yeah, I read they may need help. With my chickens the ones I helped out usually had something wrong with them, and died soon after anyway... so I just stopped doing it. If they zip part way i help, because sometimes the membrane dries on them. I successfully hath about 99% of my own fertile chicken eggs (ones that start to develop).

I hope the last two make it :(
