Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Hi, all! Congrats on all the recent hatchings - there are some adorable pics posted! I had a broody bantam hen that kept trying to steal eggs so I gave her a few call eggs. I went out to check on everyone this morning and she has 3 little Snowy ducklings. I am so excited! I wonder how confused she is about her babies?

How do you know this is a snowy call duck and not a white one? I have just had one hatch out and its yellow, so i am automatically thinking that its going to be a white call duck.

Good question, if I was to guess I would say the Black spot was the dead give away.. Whites have no black and beaks are completely pink

Quick question! How big are these tiny call babies when they are full grown? Can someone post a pick...person with or holding an adult so I can see size? A friend of mine REALLY wants ducks...calls...and I may try hatching for her if she decides she would like some

. She loves the birds...not the hatching

Males are 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds.
