It broke my heart, so I opened up the third egg that mama duck was sitting on, it was dead but totally fully develop, little beak, little wings, little floppy feet, the whole nine yards, it was a bibbed. His body was black and neck was pink. OMG broke my heart. No bigger then my pinky finger.

Awww. Poor baby. I'm so sorry. Glad you were at least able to save 2 of them. I raised the humidity on my single baby today. She's still moving in there but I'm so terrified something is going to happen to her. Especially while I'm at work and not able to be here to help her if she needs it. I hope the other 2 babies you've got continue to fight. Do you still think the due date is Nov 6th?

I used to have a Rouen they get about 8 pounds mine was a girl, we lost her to a fox, it just came and grabbed her by the neck and took her away, these kinds of ducks can't fly at all. Now she was huge but hung out with the calls and yes the boys would try and mount her. LOL.  With NO success because she was WAY to big for them.  They did try.. LOL

Men such horn dogs.. They will mate with anything that has two legs. LOL

My biggest concern would be one of the larger males trying to mount a female call. Can cause serious injury.
