Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Let me see if I got this right, The one that hatched today, was the loner, you were suppose to lock her down by raising the humidity but we didn't because you had more that are not due yet is that correct?

Now if this is the case, THAT"S great, it's a miracle she did make it out seeing how her humidity was low.  Now the others should hatch just fine..  WHEW..

Yes, we only raised the humidity to about 55. I brought it back down to 35 now that she's hatched and should be back to 25-30 by tomorrow

I would get her a small stuffed animal, they like to crawl on top of them. I have a flat three legged bunny, everything I have ever hatched LOVEs it.

Oh one thing about ducks, is they will not poop on the stuffed animal, chickens that's a different story but ducks, they don't like to get there friends dirty.

I have added Method 2 to my website, take a look and let me know if there's any chances that need to be made. I will also create another page Called Definition on this page it will explain Loose Air cells, Detachable air cells, upside downers, etc. etc. I will also take Safe hole def off of the Method 1 page and add it so that I can make the Font on Method 1 bigger and more readable..

Yes that's correct! Still a little early so I'm not going to hound her yet (it's 5:30AM). I just can't figure why hers would quit. Fingers crossed!!!

lol the radio was on in the background for my Moluccan. I didn't even realize until I played the video back and then couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. She has a stuffie but don't think she likes it. May have to try something smaller. It's a beany baby goose but she doesn't cuddle with it at all. She's already figured out how to pull at mommy's heart strings by crying when I leave her lol

I can't speak for call ducks but my brooder is literally a rabbit cage or storage tub with a reptile heat lamp. Done this with ducks, buttons, and coturnix and no issues yet.

I think we are lucky with living in Florida, the temp and humidity is so high around here that we don't need to be so exact with the temps. BUT she is by herself so no buddies to cuddle with if its not warm enough....

PS is 3 weeks OK to move ducklings outside???? I have my others due to hatch and I need to free up the brooder. I've been shutting the heat lamp off during the day and it hasn't bothered them yet. Temps get down in the low 60s at night right now.....

Super bummed. Cathy opened her eggs and all 3 were fully formed but dead.

Does anyone know what makes this happen?! I am so worried now that all mine will die :/ or at least the ones I got from the same place.
