Call Ducks Finally Hatched

I am TOTALLY freakin out!!! They are still alive but Im really confused as to why the movement is at the bottom of the egg???

Also these call duck eggs are SOOOO tiny!!!! How long do they rotate before lockdown?
Yes call ducks are small, they only get about 1 to 2 pounds, they stay small.. LOL

Day 22 take him off the turner.

As in the egg is laying on its side, and when I candle by the air sack the movement is at the bottom as opposed to the top (all my normal hatchers started at the top)
I'm not sure if I understand you correctly? Is the Air cell at the large end? If so are you saying you see them moving at the air cell end? That is how they should be, if you are looking at the smaller end, you should not be able to see anything, it should be 100% dark because that is where the yolk sac is and the baby should be towards the top. Sounds like your seeing the opposite?? If so, then you have an upside down baby?

Sorry, I'm just not real clear on what you are seeing, can you get a pic??

She's not talking about either end. She's talking about when the egg is on its side, the baby is on the bottom side. I dont think this matters. There are times when mine are on the top and others when they're on the bottom. I've read that they will usually move to the top after being turned in order to be closer to the heat. Maybe they don't want/need to be closer to the heat now that they're bigger ????

So I candled my 4 that are now on day 26. I see movement in all but the movement is at the BOTTOM of the egg. Is this normal?????
how are you candling them?? Doesn't make sense to me, your seeing them move at the bottom of the egg, maybe upside downers, try laying them down and tilt the eggs upwards, see if they can get into the correct position?

No, no, no, no, I wonder if what you are seeing is the baby, Perhaps it has absorbed all the yolk and now you see his little feet and body at the smaller end because once the yolk has been absorbed, that's all you'll have left.

HUM, you got me confused on this one. Day 26 these are not call ducks, due date must be in two days. HUMM, Could be early hatchers. which mean tomorrow is the break out day, which means they have absorbed all the yolk which means they are moving at the bottom because that's where there bodies are because that's all that are left down there.

Sorry, I have to talk this out to make sense of this. I'm not necessary trying to repeat myself to you, I'm actually typing this out trying to make heads or tails. LOL

That's not what I'm saying. The egg is laying on its side. So the top/bottom are not referring to the large/small ends. The large end, has the air cell, and the movement is at the BOTTOM of the air cell.

All my previous ducks the movement has been at the TOP of the air cell.

I'm guessing since I'm confusing everyone that it is fine as long as the movement is on the air cell end.

Sad News for me, my second experiment call duck did NOT make it.  I had a feeling it wouldn't.  I candled him yesterday and took him off the turner and noticed a Huge red spot.  it was blood, the little guy POPPED one of his veins inside the shell.  So I didn't see movement today cracked him openend and sure enough all this blood came out, he was unabsorbed and dead.  WHANNN..

Oh no :hit. So sorry!!

Understand now and seems fine to me as long as the beak is at the air cell end. Doesnt matter which "side" of the egg they're on

I get you now. LOL YEH that doesn't matter the only thing that matters is if they are at the air cell end or the smaller end, doesn't matter if they are on top or bottom. That's fine. LOL, stop freaken, they will be OK. LOL.
