Where is lori? Is today the hatch date? Did you check the airsac on the little end? Anything you can locate is a plus compairing it to the position it should be in. The head and bill are usualy under a wing or foot.

Nothing yet. The one is clearly backwards but I can still see unabsorbed yolk so I'm wetting it every two hours and waiting for it to pipp.

The 2nd has internally pipped and I gave it a safe hole just in case.


That guy called me back. He said all 3 have been shown and placed well. He's going to get me pictures and work up a shipping quote.

Hey, talked to the guy about the adults. He said someone told him silver bibbed to black magpie would make blue magpie. He said he wasn't sure, just that's what he was told. Could you put that in your calculator thingy? He quoted me $190 for all 5 before shipping...hope shipping isn't too much I'd love to get all 5.

They are Jerry Lewis and Penny somebody bloodlines. Apparently I am an idiot because they are huge call duck breeders. Lol.

I don't think silver bibbed is a recognized color on calls. Not in the calculator either. Silver and black should make blue but depends on what colors are in their genetic background. Shipping for 5 will prob run around $80-100 depending on where they're coming from.

I had a pop visit/inspection from Fish and Wildlife today. A new guy who said he just took over the area and is catching up with everyone. He seemed nice. Said all looked good. I hate pop visits though. They look over all paperwork and inspect housing. I know my housing is up to par but I always get nervous going over paperwork because I'm not the most organized person when it comes to paperwork. I normally just throw it all in a file. Some folded, some not, all out of order etc but he was very patient with me lol
