Tiny bodies, tiny beaks. 2 out of 3 that I set last time started zipping out of their egg and just quit 1/2 way through. The 3rd I helped along as I couldn't just stand by and watch the same thing happen again. She's 2 weeks old today and doing great!

That's great news! Do you have her with others now or are you waiting on some to hatch? Lol.

Same thing happened with my 2 from the last batch. That's why as soon as the 3rd started to zip I took over and made sure she made it out. I couldn't let it happen a 3rd time.

LOL. I know my blue penciled is laying. She lays a really tiny egg. Her mate is my favorite. Someone is laying a medium light green egg but haven't caught who yet. It's either the silver apricot or the pied hen. I think it's the pied but can't be sure just yet. The buff lays a little bit larger medium white egg. Waiting for all 3 to get on the same laying cycle so I can get some eggs out to Lori. Until then I can't waste them so sticking them in the incubator 3-5 at a time lol. Now have 9 in there lol.

WHOOT!!! Totally will take ducklings, ASAP. LOL. I'm getting some from you so I have pencilled/pied, there's one other person I plan on buying from, then I am strictly SWAPPING. Need to start selling instead of buying, that's always been my problem though.
 
can someone give me the whats what on hatching calls? have found two hatchery that sell ducklings but their pricey and i know alot of people wont ship call ducklings cause their delicate. but i would really love to have just a trio of them.


how hard are they to hatch?

Has anyone seen this in a chick before? It looks like a crest on a duckling .
