Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Hi Lori!!!

I have two new duckies this morning! I safe holed the rest. If I get a spotted one, I will ship it to you at 2 weeks. I can ship a chick in too for company. I will post pictures tomarrow when everyone is fluffed out. They mostly look like drowned rats with bills right.

Also I read that turkey food has the correct amount of niacin for ducklings. Also game bird and broiler feed.

After this post I will post pictures of little duck and special. They are getting their feathers, and their colors look unusual to me.

I have used turkey and game bird feed.. but recently switched..

Sometimes, I will add a hand full of Cat food to there feed, it's got 32% protein, again for me, the higher the protein the better. Mine fly and apparently I read anything that fly's should have a good amount of protein because when flying they use up a lot of energy.. But mine will only fly when there's trouble lerking, so a hand full is just about all they need.

does it have the niacin required or do i need to put it in the water still? i just want to give all of whatever they need so they grow right and are healthy

Use that kind of food, they will be FINE. you would have to get the Label to see if it's in there to be absolutely sure, if your that concerned. Giving them that, I can tell you your not going to have a growing or healthy issue....

the reason also for high protein, if you really think about it, Ducks will dig for worms, Worms are high in protein, although I would never eat them personally myself. but.....they seem to love them. So my theory, higher protein the better...

One more thing, earthworms have about 82% protein in them. LOL Just a little fyi..

Now the expert on protein in worms would be Peach, I hear she eats 3 or 4 per week, she say's they taste like chicken but I find that REALLY hard to believe since she's always getting rid of her chickens how would she know what they taste like.

LOL,,, OMG, LOVE YA....... LMAO.....
