Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Why would you want to do that? Your only going to cause that water from getting inside that shell, causing either stickiness or possibly drown them.
I heard that people do that to goose eggs.

You see you have TWO DOWNFALLS with letting a chicken hatch them

1. if she is a first timer, chances are she is NOT going to sit on those eggs for that amount of time.
2. She may reject them once they are born. My hen looked at my calls and peck the crap out of them, she was like "OH MAN, a deformed hatching". and tried to keep them away from her.

You aren't going to be able to control the humidity, or temp with her. So your best bet is to leave them alone but be prepared, in case she decides to quit or rejects them......

Some hens make GREAT chicken duck mommies..
This is her third yr. And has done great every time. I plan on taking the ducklings as they hatch. So that she will regain she wait so she will go broody twice a this yr.
I am ready. Bring it on!!! HAHA

Well I hope she's good that she sits the whole time, you see you have two different hatching dates, One that's only 26 days then the other that is 30 days, if and once all the calls hatch she may think the others are no good. So I would keep an eye on that part.. And if the calls hatch early, hum, were almost looking at a week longer...

Three are hatched. All three have spots, just hard to see in pictures yet.

OMG WANT

Well guys. I lost Tweek today. Came out this morning and he was dead as if he had fallen asleep and not waken up. I tore the coop apart because I think it was a Pygmy rattlesnake. No luck finding it, but there's so many places for it to hide. Been watching all the other ducks, I completely cleaned and sanitized everything just in case it was something poisonous he ingested. All the rest are looking great though, so hopefully this is an isolated incident.

I am so sorry!
She was your special duck. If you catch that snake, stomp it good!
I hate predators!
