Can my mom just wet the membrane and clean him up? She has the flu and that it why she is available and my mister sprayer thing is outside like a quarter mile walk and I don't want her to have to do that......

NO, have her take a paper towel and Dribble water all over his shell, AVOID his HEAD. we want to AVOID accidents. Just have her dribble some water on that shell, NOT where the opening is.

The pores on the shell will SUCK that water right up inside, that will help loosen things up.

She doesn't need to move him, just Dribble some warm water on his shell..

After your mom dribbles him with water, Have her THROW the wet paper towel RIGHT in the BATOR, DON"T THROW IT OUT, KEEP IT. this will help raise that humidity... But don't put it on him.. LOL

LOL, OK, WHEW, I thought I was loosing my mind, I had to re-read that post about 5 times to make sure I read it correctly. LOL..

we need the gooy stuff out but you have to be able to tell the difference, when ducks hatch they will have this Green snot ball gooy stuff, NOT what we are looking for, we need to look for any Light Yellow almost clear gooy stuff. and not the darker yellow yolk... So we have a lot of gooy stuff going on in that shell. LOL we need to get the Correct one OUT.. Then hell absorb, then hell make his GREAT ESCAPE, then you can worry about depression because he's gonna be a loner. LOL.

YEH, I just did that, gave good news and shot it all down. LOL, I'm soo bad. But I'll add more good news to the end, THEN HE'LL BE SPOILED..
