Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Is 20%humdity too low for callduck? Just wondering?

Depends on who you ask. That IS extremely low, but some breeders swear by the dry hatching method for ducks, even calls, only bringing up the humidity for the final few days leading up to lockdown.

I kept mine around 35-45%, which is low by most standards but my stupid Rcom kept spiking as high as 80% so I played it safe and removed the water from it until the final week. Then all I had to worry about were the awful beeps of the alarm going off to remind me to fill it back up!

NO keep yours low, you have a sticky issue and we need to get that under control unless your in lock down.

Angovem, just curious: Is this about that teacher jerk who doesn't know how to hatch eggs? Is HE the one that has 20% humidity?

Low is better to avoid sticky problems, it's easier to control shrink wrap then it is to control a sticky baby..

Yes he had between 20 and 30% during incubation and now has it at 60% for lockdown.

Oh, yeah and great news! I had only 1 duck laying (my grey) for about a week but my dad called me last night and said three ducks are laying now! Grey, Pastel, and ...... CHOCOLATE!!!!!
