Ok... so I might get a couple. The others will have beautiful fluffy necks lol. I'm ok with the odds

I miss raising silkies. They look like muppets!

Chances are good, lol... We have been having negative degree weather here. Tonight it's suppose to be -17 and tomorrow -20, grrr I expect to loose some chickens, silkies just can't tolerate this kind of weather and boy they get sick to easy.

I just hope my ducks don't get frost bite, like the one got last year...

You are more than welcome todrive a few silkie girls to my housr and I will take them off your hands and put them in my heated wood shop ;) (Whrw the reest of mine are now)

I know! I'm putting Perdy's first two eggs in the incubator Saturday! The breeder I got her and my other two Calls from has lots of eggs already. His are readily laying. I'm thinking ab going and picking up 5 eggs from him to add with Perdy's 2, to set in the incubator Saturday! That way I'll either get a baby of Perdy's or a sibling! His Grey Calls are the parents of my Grey Call Hen, Perdy! :)
How are the eggs looking today?

I have TWO heating lamps in each one now. Electric bill isn't going to look pretty but my birds will HAHAHAHHAA.

I'm going to check with my vet he was telling me about these GREAT heater that if they fall they automatically shut off so there's no danger in them, unlike other house heaters. It also will keep them cool in the summer time.
