About the possibly frozen/ impacted crop; I would think that the crop itself would be at least frost -bitten, badly. But at -30F? I have zero experience with chickens at those temps!!! Did the birds eat it as it got very cold. frozen? Water on food in cold temps may be a bad idea.

Yes....Coop is not heated and fed with no light other than flashlight?...Crap Im not sure?...Crops froze though ..Or so she assumes ?...Birds are good on Dry feed..
