My cats are trying to kill me. No, they aren't ganging up and olding me down while one steals my breath. They are all stealing my breath when they use the dang litterbox!!!!

Since having chemo I am very VERY sensitive to smell. Peanutbutter, dill pickels, fried eggs, and cat poop in the little box do me in.

I bought one of the cheaper version of an automatic little box this past weekend hoping it would help. It doesn't.

I loved my Booda cat box but when my son (Fatboy) uses it. He peels paint off the walls.

I've even changed their diet in hopes to soften the "load". Hasn't helped.

PPPPPLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAASE Help me!!

Can you install a catflap somewhere so they have to go in through that to get to their box?

We have a porthole to the cat box in the batrhoom closet.

Perhaps stash it under a sink with a catflap in the cabinet door?

Oh that's a tough one, the litter kwitter? http://www.litterkwitter.com.au/en/index.php My 1st cat used the toilet until the next cat I got from the shelter convinced her that it was a bad idea. Cats that use the toilet are awesome. One of my four goes outside. One uses the box exclusively and she stinks up the whole garage. They all eat the same but only one stinks so I don't think changing their diet will help. Hopefully someone has a remedy.

Is this a temporary side effect from the chemo ... or has it permanetly changed the way you smell things? I think the answers to these questions will determine how you will tackle the problem.

My brother uses a Cat Genie. The "litter" never needs changing. It washes the litter out (plastic beads) 1-4 times daily and connects to his laundry room
water supply and drain. They are semi expensive though (around 399.00) and requires purchase of a solution that washes the granules.

This really works. A friend of mine did this with his cat because he was tired of cleaning out the litter box. just google "toilet training cats" and you will find lots of info about it.

Have you ever seen those little boxes you can attach in your window? Kind of like an Air conditioner but it's a little window box that keep the litter box outside, but the cat inside. It's worth looking into.

I've also heard (but I don't know how true it is) that fish products produce a more smelly poop. So staying away from sea foods in their food might help. Also the higher quality diet they are on the less they will poop (which might help a bit) Best of luck.

we feed ours indoor cat food. i think that helps keep odor at bay. we have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes in a small 3 bedroom house. one of them(the male) had strong smelling urine when he was a kitten but after he was fixed the odor subsided.

now what was that about an indoor/outdoor litter box?
