Calling all NEW Brinsea Eco owners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What breeds?

They are designer chickens. My roos are a white silkie and a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana. I have a wheaten ameraucana hen, RIR's, BSL's, a turken (which I am her offspring in my brooder and can we just say she is "special"?) EE's, BR's, all different kinds of hens in my coop.

My last hatch I hatched out a yellow chick with black spots. And she is almost 4 weeks old and still speckled. I can't wait to see her fully feathered.

Sounds pretty.

This is real exciting for me. I've hatched before but never been involved in a BYC hatch before. Woo-hoo! Can't wait to get started.

edited for wording-changing

You SOOO totally have time for another hatch before that. Yes I am enabler, learn chicken math. It is helpful!

I'M ready, but I'm not READY... I need to make space for them first. Have to contend with Winter here in Maine. Not practical to hatch any now:)

What I'll Be Trying To Hatch

-Twelve blue ameraucana
-Six BLRW
-Hopefully six or twelve icelandics from Mary (the warden) if she has any... if not then assorted marans

Sound good?

Clearly I need to coach you on the hatcher addicts way to get birds through cold spells.

No doubt.. I have 16 chickens in my bedroom currently.. (11 4 week olds, and 4 seramas) But I have 2500 sq feet more that I can fill up.. That is if I wanted to be single.. My DW would have me committed. I'm giving the babies one more week before I send em outside.

Of course I'm in Louisiana, and strangly enough we are expecting low 20's overnights.. (that's like the worlds coming to an end for us)
