Went to add more water in the bator and couldn't resist checking progress with candling.
I did not pick the eggs up; but, just shined light at top of the eggs. All but one seem to be doing good. The last pure Wyandotte egg from the shipped eggs shows no developement. I left it in there this morning as none of the eggs have the dreaded blood ring or stink.

Anyway the egg he through in for fun in the shipped eggs (Ameraucana x Wyandotte is doing well so far. Looks like I have an expensive EE in the works along side the local eggs.

I am now feeling that getting shipped eggs in the winter is too high risk. To check my opion on it I am gonna try again in Spring.

Yep. I only hatched 4 my first time hatching & gave them to a freind because I'm like you I want them to all be the same age. I sure hated loosing the little boogers. They were 5 weeks old & jumping around going crazy. My buddy took them I hope he takes care of them.

How on God's green marble did this thread manage to get pushed to page THREE!!!!????

I have 11 out of 25 eggs left, 100% shipped eggs, which is not so bad. I am very hopeful for the 11 I have left.

I got my incubator today!

In the evening I will go over the instructions and start it up.

By Friday night, I hope to have some eggs in it.
