MF Cochin, shipped egg! I only had two that made it to lockdown, today is day 20, day 21 is tomorrow morning. The other hasn't done anything. I also have one barnyard mutt due tomorrow as well, and 3 MF D'Uccles due in 4 days. My first staggered hatch and I'm nervous!

Millie Fleur D'uccles are sooo cute as well! I love my 3 D'uccles. I've done a gazillion staggered hatches and they all turned out well. I finished a staggered hatch in my Genesis Hova-bator and I had Chicken and Quail all hatching different days and all turned out well!

None of them are OEs.
Yes, I think Cole is a boy too. He is a stinker too. He likes to play fly tag with his flockmates and they are the landing pads. He will as run up behind one of the stick his leg out and push the other chick with his foot on their but. He also tries to jump on the others and chest bumps with Phebe who stands up to him.

The daddy is a black Austrolarp rooster. Not sure who the mommy is as the hens with the rooster where LF White Cochin, LF Black Cochin, Red Sexlinks, Barred Rock, Dominique, EE, and Ameracauna.

Cole and Phebe both have a brownish red color on their heads which is pretty. These are my local mutt babies. Butters (the yellowist chick) is from Maine and his parents are Ameracauna x Wyandotte.

Day 11. Over halfway there. I candled and had to pitch 5/24. 3 early quitters had blood rings and 2 looked like they may not have been fertile. The other 19 are getting big and dancing around in the shells.
