Cameo or Peach?

No, the only Cameo I have is a 20 year old Cameo BS hen. I said they do not look like mine ( the Peach Pied hen and the Peach hen in the pics) but it could be the lighting, because in certain light you can't see the orange on mine either. Any chance they are Opal?

Black shoulder hens will be off-white to white and will not have those scallop looking neck feathers, they def. are not BS.

To me they look more like Cameos and they obviously have white wing feathers visible so they are carrying a White/Pied or WE split.
No, they don't look opal at all, I noticed the white feathers when i got them, i thought this normal for peach hens because i remember i saw some peaches before with white flights, if they were cameos split white, it will be good too, i can pair them with my cameo pied male.

They don't look opal to me ... You are right about the white wing feathers. There seems to be a pale orangish cast on the front of the birds?

Wondering if light filtered through green shade cloth affected the colors of the photographs...

Okay, I forgot I had these pics. This is a Peach hen, my friend has 2 that look almost identical one of them is the mother of my Peach pied hen. These pics were taken outside on a very cloudy day. You can see how orange she looks especially around the head. Do your's look
orange around the head?

This peach chick picture was taken in the same pen, i can easily tell he is peach

These look a bit like mine, no i don't think they have an orange color around their head, i used to have picture for them when they were standing under the sun, it was the only picture i could tell they were looking a little orange in it, but i can't find this pic now.

That's odd, but maybe it is because of the fading. My friend has a Cameo hen and she doesn't look orange around the head either, that was the first thing I noticed that was different about the Peach hens. Also when they grow in new feathers they seem to look very orange at first, then they fade out to the tan color that looks like a Cameo.

Look more like Taupe to me.

Peach really don't come in more than one shade. There is still lots of debate about what peach is exactly. Is it crossover? Is it purple and cameo combined? Can you even combine sex linked colors? What causes the weird shading? Is it really possible to have cameo or purple split to peach or are they really cameo split to purple and purple split to cameo? etc. etc.

hurray the cavalry! (I suppose I should think of something aviation related, but brain is slow today)
Taupe, that make a lot of sense, but gosh I've never seen a taupe bird.
Could it be spontaneous? Q8 is a long way from the states, have those made it overseas? How interesting!
