Can chickens eat Chicken cooked?

You bet! :drool

They like it too. Many people don't realize that chickens are omnivores who need animal protein and the amino acids in it. All the vegetarian feeds we have get the amino acids added in.

In addition, many people give things like corn which diminishes protein level. And lettuce which has little to no nutrients thinking their birds are getting "greens". Feathers are made of 90% protein and it's amino acids. Most birds will do well if not better with some protein added into their diets especially if they are dual purpose birds eating layer feed with about 16% protein.

They like eggs too and the left over shells. Eggs are a good source of nutrients like selenium. But they are 12% protein and 30% fat, if I remember correctly. So should be fed as a treat. I feed back excess eggs or those that got a little too dirty for my family.

Be careful not to lose a finger! :p
