I know that a hen determines the sex of her offspring. I also know that feathered legs/feet is a dominate trait.
So my hen (langshan) with feathered feet bred with a rooster (mixed breed) with clean legs/ feet. She hatched out 3 clean legged females and one feathered leg male.
Does that mean that her female chicks will always have clean legs if bred with a clean legged rooster?
I am not a genius so please keep it simple. Thanks in advance.

That trait is not sex linked. Langshans have less foot feathering, so the chances of their offspring inheriting it is low. 4 chicks is not a large enough sample size to determine the linkage.

Foot feathering has nothing to do with sex.
