Can I Feed Dry Cat Food to My Chickens?

Is it safe to feed dry cat food to my hens? They gobble it up!

You can feed them a little dry cat food as a treat, it's perfectly safe.

I have a bag of Paws cat food that my son gave me, his cat won't eat it. They are very small pieces. I'm thinking it has good stuff in it and since I have 8 pullets about 3 1/2 months old they may benefit from it.
