Very likely a cockerel....but I'd wait a couple more weeks just to be certain.

Though this is very, very rare....there's another BYC member whose Mottled Cochin was every bit as red (perhaps more) and developed at similar age. Turned out to be a pullet.

Well I don’t want any chicks anytime this year. I have three girls outback and I got another chick the time I got this one so he has potential mates and I don’t want any babies this year.
I don’t want to be eating potential fertilized eggs.

They are pets, but they are also for eggs.

And I’m not allowed to have a rooster where I live. They are too loud and I don’t want to risk my neighbors complaining about us
