yep, if you rooster is very active you may have to add more. It is just one of those wait and see things. As far as the same breeds sticking together, well mine don't do that.Ok so to my understanding I should have at least 3 hens for my rooster to avoid balding. Breed does not really matter, just something that will do well in my climate. However same breeds tend to stick together. And they should be 4-5 months old so the older hen or rooster doesn't attack them.
Is that correct?
