My gut feeling is that it is a hen. But I am not sure.

We don't get many Lakenvelders in this forum. I think this is probably a pullet, because the breed is said to be a fast developer. But those feathers with black down the center, on the saddle area above the wings, have me a little concerned, so I am not 100% sure. About 80% sure it's a girl though, and that is the consensus, so I would go with it being a pullet, but keep an eye on her.

I’ve heard that they’re like leghorns and that they’re fast developers so I’m saying female but if it turns out to be a male I’m not entirely going to be shocked! Update us when she lays her first egg! It might not be for a bit though!
