Canadians check in here....

I've been wondering if we should somehow have our own list of eggs and whatnot for sale on this thread since we get kinda lost in the general threads.

When we move I'd like to get quail eggs..a nice mix of colours (hehe...I can put the u in colours here). Of course I'll also need to hatch more chickens after all I only have about 40 now..

. What do you all think? If it's not permitted then sorry for bringing it up as I have no idea if it is or not.

Sounds like a great idea. It has been a bit of work tracking down people and hatcheries. There are those of us that would rather be able to get eggs and chicks from neighbors and other provinces. No need to deal with the border.

We could just start a Canadian thread. We would need to keep it going.

I started a thread in Breeders and hatcheries
Please every one post in that if you have anything for sale or want anything.

Yea, trying to find Canadian birds is not as easy. Very costly and hassle to go across border. Have you found Albertachickensetc.
It's slowly getting lots of members and there is a breeders list started and getting members from other provinces. People are very nice on there. Also CanadianChickenEggSwappers@yuku. I think that is what it is but for me at least it was harder to get on but I got it. There is also a hatchery in Manitoba that looks interesting but their list for this year doesn't come out till end of Feb. I really was interested in their top hat special but they don't have that this year so I guess we have to wait and see. Forgot what their called but will find out. Berg's !! that's it.

Lets
keep this thread going so that it dosen't sink to the bottom.
I haven't anything to offer but I will be checking the list when I move, for eggs.
Lets have some movement from the breeders and hobbiests out East as well. Post what you may have come Spring. Show your setup....post your pics...lets stay alive on this and we can all give in to our need for MORE poultry!
