Congrats! Mine are out growing their brooder box. I just finished my 2 week vacation, spent the whole time working on their coop and enclosure and I'm still not finished! Have you had chickens before?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, been out chicken minding. I'm not raising chickens, don't have a rooster. Just keeping hens for eggs. I have an Aracauna, Partridge Rock, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Black Copper Maran and a Bielefelder.

We ended up getting 8 barnyard mix that are 10 weeks old and 2 PR that are 12 weeks old.

No I haven't had chickens before, but I have been researching for 6 months before we decided to build the coop. But I'm sure to turn to you guys if I have any questions

Great idea! I always research and look hard for what I want. Keep looking on Kijiji and local farms for small sales! Happy hunting!

I got my girls off Kijiji from some small local farmers...ended up spending $50 for all of my girls

Great price! Good job! I am searching for a Danish Brown Leghorn, not a hatchery hybrid, but haven't found one all year! Some hatcheries have brown leghorns but not what I want. Maybe spring some will show up! Lol!

I have one barnyard mix. Appenzeller something. Thought I was getting white eggs(what I wanted) as I have other colored eggs, but she lays blue too! I have 3 blue layers now!lol! Oh sorry, what are PR? Production reds?
