Candeling and hatching diary.

No pips pretty sure the one that was due yesterday is now deceased not even an internal pip and the temp dropped over night I am strongly considering tossing that bator. So tired of it. Guess we will see what happens when I get home today definitly a rough go I try not to touch the temperatures on the bators at all once they are set but this one is bouncing like a bouncy ball and worst thing is my daughter is not home ot keep an eye on it today I could just about scream. I am pretty much writing this batch off. The others are all do today. most looked good but just don't know how lol.

NOO NOO you can't do that, don't write it off yet.. NO

Sure have I am not a hands off person at least until I see an internal or external pip humidity is right at 50% but just not feeling good think I am destined to only get BYM

Why oh Why won't my little chickies hatch. Maybe because I am just bad at this lol. But don't worry I have 100 plus barn mixes due next weekend so we shall see

Well get that Humidity up get it up to 65 Put a Towel and wet sponges.

So this morning in between trying to get the hatcher temp right I opened my cabinet incubator and I do believe I have my first stinker yuck didn't have time to search for it this morning so I am going to be smelling all the eggs when I get home to figure out where the dud is and then I will be putting y shipped eggs into the incubator does not look like my final batch is going to make it today maybe tomorrow but who knows. I also am meeting a gentleman after work to get 8 Copper maran eggs along with for you guessed it BYM to make it an even dozen and on saturday I am getting 5-6 dozen orpington eggs from someone else who is local. So I am glad I made the decision to fire up the second cabinet incubator. They are supposed to have a 624 egg capacity but I don't think you can turn them correctly with that many eggs. I am currently trying to figure out an easier way to turn 400 plus eggs by hand. I am going to have set over 350 eggs for the easter hatch along this could be so so bad luckily there will be quite a few leaving the day after hatch to go with one of the egg owners the others I will be taking to a swap in April. Going to move my 7 week old Orpington chicks to a real chicken coop this weekend as they have started escaping from their brooder and it is just time for them to go out. Going to have a very busy weekend.
