Canned pumpkin pie filling

I have some pumpkin puree (not pie mix) left over after making p. bread, can I feed this to the hens?

Also I will have pumpkins to use soon too, (I am keeping the seeds-yum!)
can they peck at a raw pumpkin with its rind or should it be cooked?
